Your voice recordings are processed locally on your device whenever possible. When cloud processing is necessary, voice data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

We collect basic profile information including age verification, location (city/state only), and preferences to improve matching accuracy.

Data Collection & Google Play / App Store Data Safety
In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety section and Apple's App Privacy requirements, here is a summary of data we collect:
Data Collected
- Personal Info: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth (for age verification)
- Voice Data: Voice recordings for matching and communication (auto-deleted after 24 hours)
- Location: Approximate location (city-level) for landmark-based matching — never precise GPS
- App Activity: In-app interactions, search history within the app, and feature usage
- Device Info: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers for security and analytics
Data NOT Collected
- Photos or videos
- Financial or payment information
- Contact lists or address books
- Browsing history outside the app
- Health or fitness data
App Permissions
Voicle requests the following device permissions:
- Microphone: Required for voice recording and voice-based communication (core feature)
- Location: Used for landmark-based matching; only approximate location is stored
- Notifications: To alert you about new matches, messages, and important updates
- Internet: Required for app functionality, data syncing, and communication
All permissions are optional (except Internet) and can be revoked at any time through your device settings. The app will continue to work with limited functionality if permissions are denied.
Third-Party Services & SDKs
Voicle uses the following third-party services that may collect data:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, cloud messaging, crash reporting, and analytics — Firebase Privacy Policy

We do not use any advertising SDKs. We do not share personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- AES-256 encryption for data at rest
- TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit
- End-to-end encryption for voice messages
- Regular security audits and penetration testing
- Strict access controls and employee training
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data only as long as necessary:
- Voice messages: Automatically deleted within 24 hours
- Account data: Retained while your account is active
- Analytics data: Anonymized and deleted after 90 days
- Upon account deletion: All personal data is permanently removed within 30 days
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via our Delete Account page.
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Voicle is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete such information and terminate the account. Please see our Child Safety Standards for more details.
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You may request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information
- Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal information, so this right does not apply
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights

- Data Portability: You may request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to Object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to Restriction: You may request restricted processing under certain circumstances
- Data Transfers: Any transfer of data outside the EEA is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses
